What you clip goes only to the MojoPad app on your own computer, and nowhere else. The Clip to MojoPad browser extension has no server, no cloud, no account, and no analytics. We never receive any of your data.
When you click the Clip to MojoPad toolbar button, the extension reads the content of that one tab — its HTML and images — and hands it to the MojoPad desktop app running on the same machine, over Chrome's local native messaging channel. MojoPad turns it into a page in your local document.
The active tab's content — only when you click the button. The extension uses the activeTab permission, which grants access to a page solely in response to your click. It does not read pages in the background, does not track your browsing, and has no standing access to any site. The scripting permission runs the one-time capture inside that tab; nativeMessaging passes the captured page to the MojoPad app on your computer.
Only to the MojoPad application on your own device. Nothing is transmitted to us, to MojoPad's servers, or to any third party. The clip never leaves your computer through this extension.
